Born deaf, Chad grew up in London, Ontario, Canada, and graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been involved with both start-ups and established companies for the most part of his career as a web developer and engineer. He went on to build his own company, Linguabee, an online sign language interpreter marketplace.

He lives in the East Bay with his wife and two young boys. They are expecting a baby any day now. Everyone in the family is also deaf.
