We Are One Year Old!

by The Editor on January 13th, 2015

We launched one year ago today! Some news on our plans for Model View Culture in 2015:

Officially Announcing Our News Blog!

Towards the end of last year, we started experimenting with our News blog. The response has been great, so we’re going to build out our News functionality and start publishing short write-ups on current news and events in tech, as they happen. This will let us better respond to the rapidly-moving tech world and highlight even more community voices. Our goal is to bring the same independent, critical and diverse perspective to tech news. Want to contribute a news item? More details on our contributor’s page.

Editorial Changes to Online Issues

Our first online issue of the year, on programming and software development, will be out next week. Subsequent issues will feature an assortment of articles, with a larger variety of topics, themes and perspectives, instead of having a concrete theme each time. We’ll have special themed issues occasionally, but this change will help us publish on more topics, publish more frequently, and be more creative about our content. Issues will still be published every three weeks, and we’re currently seeking submissions for our next one!

Thanks for an amazing first year.

We are looking forward to another one! Model View Culture is 100% reader-supported, independent tech media, and we couldn’t do it without you. Our 2015 subscription drive – which provides the basis of our operating budget – is open now! Please consider subscribing today – every subscription helps us keep publishing and growing. (And, it would be a great birthday present.)
