As an independent theorist, tante mostly works on sociotechnical systems – especially with regards to the political and social consequences of the development, deployment and use of (new) technologies.

tante writes more or less regularly for different German and international publications (such as der SPIEGEL, WIRED, VICE and German papers like ZEIT and Süddeutsche Zeitung), contributing articles explaining and contextualizing ongoing technological developments.

He is a founding member of the transdisciplinary group Otherwise Network and really likes monkeys.
